Conference: Building A, groundfloor rooms (A7-A3), basement rooms (A01-A03).

There is a very limited number of parking places on campus. Please push the button at the gate and say you are visiting HUSSE conference at the English and American Studies Institute.

Parking is free in the streets nearby.Try parking at the car park to be found at the crossroads of Wartha Vince utca and Stadion köz.

How to get to Veszprém

If you travel by train:

The train connection from and to Budapest is excellent. Trains leave from two railway stations: Déli pályaudvar and Kelenföld pályaudvar. Both are stops for the underground/metro/subway line. Déli pályaudvar is on the M2 (red) metro line, while Kelenföld is on M4 metro line. (Please note that 'pályaudvar' is often abbreviated as 'pu.' on metro maps.) Please check the timetable for trains. You can also buy your ticket online.

If you travel by bus:

Traveling by bus is really convenient in Hungary. There are a lot of long-distance buses (the duration is about 2 hours) leaving from Budapest to Veszprém. The bus depot can be found at Budapest - Népliget stop on the M3 (blue) underground/metro/subway line. Please check the timetable for long-distance buses.

Bus No. 1 Railway station - get off at SZÍNHÁZ stop (ca. 12 min.) - walk 5 minutes

Bus No. 3 Railway station - get off at SZÍNHÁZ stop (ca. 9 min.) - walk 5 minutes

Bus No. 10 Railway station - get off at SZÍNHÁZ stop (ca. 12 min.) - walk 5 minutes

Bus No. 4 Railway station - get off at HÓVIRÁG UTCA or EGYETEM stop (ca. 12 min.) - walk 2 minutes

LUNCH OPTIONS

Numerous restaurants close to campus offer daily set menues (including a soup and a main course) at prices ranging from 950 to 1300 HUF. 

There is a set daily offer at Hangvilla Restaurant between 12pm and 1 pm at the cost of 950HUF and various meals ranging from 700-1,300HUF between 12pm and 3 pm.

There are various meals at a price ranging from 700-1,300HUF between 12pm and 3 pm at Hungária Restaurant, Egyetemi Menza, Mackó Snack between 12pm and 3 pm.
